𝐒 𝐄 𝐌 𝐏 𝐄 𝐑 𝐅 𝐈 𝐃 𝐄 𝐋 𝐈 𝐒 𝐀 𝐁 𝐎 𝐔 𝐓 𝐔 𝐒 On November 10, 1775. The Second Continental Congress passed a resolution stating "2 battalions of Marines be raised" for fleet landing forces - resulting in the creation of the 'Continental Marines'. 2 centuries later, what was once made out of necessity became a tradition, a legacy, a brotherhood, and ultimately, the World's Finest Fighting Force - the United States Marine Corps. Today, the Marine Corps stands ready to continue in the proud tradition of those who so valiantly fought at Belleau Wood, Iwo Jima, the Chosin Reservoir, and Khe Sanh. Combining a long and proud heritage of faithful service to the nation, with the resolve to face tomorrow's challenges will continue to keep the Marine Corps the "best of the best."
