Description
Ashford County is a coastal county in the southern United States known for its scenic shoreline, winding rivers, abundant wildlife, and expansive forests. Founded in 1806 and originally settled by French colonists, the county still reflects elements of its early heritage today. The county seat, Port Corado, is a historic harbor town along the coast and home to the Port Corado Lighthouse, a lasting symbol of the area’s maritime roots. Inland, Magnolia Springs is known for its natural springs and namesake magnolia blooms, while Oakridge lies to the north among rolling hills and dense woodland.
