Description
The Von Valancius Protectorate is a loose but profitable trade empire spanning several worlds in the Koronus Expanse of the Segmentum Obscurus. It is controlled by the ancient Rogue Trader dynasty of House von Valancius. Its capital is the Capital-Hive World of Dargonus. Key holdings include the jungle Agri-World of Janus, the Adeptus Mechanicus-managed Industrial World of Kiava Gamma, Shrine World of Foulstone, Frontier-Death World of Zarkov, and Penal World of Vheabos VI. Under the late Theodora von Valancius, the Protectorate grew into a wealthy mercantile domain that competes with the more warlike Winterscale and Chorda dynasties while focusing primarily on trade, resource extraction, and colonial development rather than open conquest.
