Organisation internationale de la Francophonie La Francophonie is an international organization representing countries and regions where French is a lingua franca or customary language. A significant proportion of the population are francophones, or there is a notable affiliation with French culture. The goal of the organization is to promote the recognition of Francophone populaces and cooperate with governments to further the representation of a francophone community within its nation.
