House of Nathy #1092438052
Description
Early 1900s Christian $80 million USD Father of The Family: Nate Nathy, @EmperorVhy The Nathy family rose from modest beginnings in the 1870s to become one of the most powerful dynasties of the early 20th century. Nate Nathy, the patriarch and a devout Christian, began his career in the rough-and-tumble world of post–Civil War industry. He saw opportunity in the nation’s rapid expansion westward and invested heavily in the railroads that stitched America together. Starting with a small ironworks supplying rails and locomotives, Nathy’s keen sense for timing and shrewd business practices soon evolved into a vertically integrated empire — steel mills, foundries, and railway lines all under his control. By the 1890s, the Nathy Industrial Company dominated key transport routes and supplied steel for bridges, ships, and urban skylines.
