Description
The Edinboro & Northern Railway is a Class II railroad primarily located in Illinois and Utah. The railroad was created in the late ##### ## ######## ######## abandoned by the Canadian National after the Illinois Central Merger. The CN purged the line as it had a route that it had ran nearby. The railroad quickly found its footing and credibility, which lead to them expanding in a quick manor In the mid 2010s. the railroad began to see an unprecedented increase in traffic on their main line, resulting in a power shortage. The railroad began leasing equipment from lenders such as BLTX and FURX. . Due to the uptick, the railroad began purchasing used equipment from other railroads, with BNSF and NS being the main providers. The railroad acquired a major coal and intermodal route in July 2021 in efforts to expand the railroad.
