Description
C86 is a cassette compilation released by the British music magazine NME in 1986, featuring new bands licensed from British independent record labels of the time. This compilation was originally released, during the summer of '86, as both an NME mail order-only cassette (NME .022) and a series of five concerts at London's Institute Of Contemporary Arts". There was also a vinyl radio promo (NME PRO 1). Later in 1986 the compilation received commercial release via Rough Trade as ROUGH 100.
