Welcome to the official community for Battle of Attu! The Battle of Attu was held near the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, Island of Attu. When the Japanese troops captured the island at the start of their invasion (1942). Canada and the U.S sent its forces, the 7th Infantry Division, to fight against the Japanese who were occupied on the island.
