Following the Cascade Events, Bastion was rebuilt after one of the largest containment disasters in Foundation history. Every reinforced wall, rewritten protocol, and memorial within these halls exists because someone paid the price to keep humanity safe. Today, Bastion continues to contain, research, and recover anomalous entities while standing watch against those who would misuse them. The Syndicate, founded by former Foundation personnel, rejects containment in favor of exploitation. Their operatives infiltrate Sites, steal anomalies, sabotage operations, and recruit from within. Some breaches happen because something escaped. The worst ones happen because someone opened the door.
