𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐚𝐫 𝐊𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐢 𝐍𝐞𝐦𝐳𝐞𝐭𝐢 𝐇𝐚𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐠 After the defeat of the Hungarian Soviet Republic, with the dissolution of the Red Army, the National Army, formed from volunteers to “fight the Red Terror and restore order” on the basis of the decree of the Szeged Counter-Revolutionary Government of June 6, 1919, remained Hungary's only organized armed force. With the restoration of the kingdom as a form of state in front of the names of military formations and institutions from 1920, the form “Magyar Királyi”, ie. a Hungarian royal prefix was added. After Horthy Miklós was chosen as the Governor of Hungary in 1920, Charles I of Austria, who reigned in Hungary as IV. Károly, returned to Hungary seeking to reclaim his throne, but Horthy and the National Army stand in his way.
