A Astronomia é a ciência que estuda o universo, seus astros, fenômenos e leis que regem a imensidão cósmica. O universo abriga bilhões de galáxias, cada uma com bilhões de estrelas, planetas e sistemas que ainda desafiam a compreensão. As galáxias, verdadeiros arquipélagos cósmicos, podem ser espirais, elípticas ou irregulares, e revelam a diversidade do cosmos. Entre as estrelas, algumas formam desenhos visíveis a olho nu: as constelações, que desde a Antiguidade serviram como guias de navegação, calendários agrícolas e símbolos de mitos culturais. Hoje, continuam sendo fundamentais para localizar estrelas e observar fenômenos astronômicos. Com telescópios e sondas, a astronomia moderna desvenda mistérios como exoplanetas e sistemas distantes. Ao contemplar o céu, percebemos tanto nossa pequenez diante da imensidão quanto a grandeza de participar desse universo, e é justamente essa dualidade que move o ser humano a buscar respostas e nunca deixar de explorar.
