A Fire Department is the department of a local or municipal authority in charge of preventing and fighting fires. What calls do we respond to: Bush Fires, Structure Fires, Grass Fires, Medical Calls, and Vehicle Fires. What is our role? Our role is to respond to fires, accidents and other incidents where there are risks to life and property. Full-time firefighters help protect the public in emergency situations. They respond to a wide variety of calls: as well as fires, they assist at car crashes, chemical spills, flooding and water rescue. What is this group based on?
