Evocati Augusti 'SUA SPONTE' While most Praetorians hold the line, fight in open battle, or protect the Imperial Family with their shields and lives, the Evocati exist for something else entirely. They move ahead of the army, beyond the bounds of the battlespace, and deep into hostile territory, leaving trails of blood and death wherever they roam. The Evocati Corps is the elite reconnaissance and direct-action formation of the Praetorian Guard, composed exclusively of veteran Praetorians. Every Evocatus is expected to move farther, faster, and fight harder than any other soldier in the Empire. Their place in the Corps is earned every day, not kept forever. Operating behind enemy lines, they gather intelligence, seize key objectives, and strike critical targets with speed, surprise, and deliberate violence of action.
