Description

-INFO- Officer Candidate School (OCS) is a training program for individuals who want to become commissioned officers in the United States Army. It is designed to teach candidates the necessary skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities needed to become effective officers. The program is open to candidates who have already earned a bachelor's degree, as well as those who are in the process of completing one. During the program, candidates undergo rigorous physical and mental training, as well as instruction in Army doctrine, tactics, and leadership. Successful completion of Officer Candidate School results in a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
