𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐋 The Citadel of Oldtown stood as the center of learning, history, medicine, and knowledge throughout Westeros during the Blackfyre Rebellion. From its halls came the maesters who advised nearly every noble house in the Seven Kingdoms, regardless of faction or loyalty. Though the Citadel officially remained neutral in political conflicts, many questioned whether certain archmaesters quietly favored peace beneath King Daeron II over the chaos of rebellion. Maesters served as healers, messengers, scholars, and counselors during the war, often becoming essential figures within castles and armies alike. The Citadel valued reason, order, and stability above ambition, making civil war a threat not only to the realm, but to knowledge itself. Even amid bloodshed and division, the chains of the maesters endured as symbols of wisdom and service across Westeros.
