Dyfnaint • Regnum Dumnoniae • Dumnent ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ During Roman administration, the region of Dumnonia lacked the strong romanization as seen within eastern regions of Britain. However, after the withdrawal of the Roman legions by the order of Emperor Honorius, Dumnonia found itself with the growing influence of Romano-Britons. Most influential of which, the Roman military commander Ambrosius Aurelianus, who is known to be the uncle of the legendary King Arthur Pendragon. Ambrosius Aurelianus. the former protector of Britannia, was deposed and exiled by the treacherous tyrant Vortigernus. Vortigernus invited the Angles and Saxons to settle the coasts of Britannia in return for military support for his failings to protect Britannia from tribal incursions. Matters couldn't be any worse as Irish raiders began to make land fall on the entirety of western Britannia, while the Germanic barbarians move westwards unchecked. May God help Aurelianus, and may he save Britannia!
