Description

The Duchy of Nassau was a small German state between 1806 and 1866, located in the Western territories of Germany. Then twin duchies of Nassau-Usingen and Nassau-Weilburg merged into each other under the banner of Nassau joined the Confederation of the Rhine on July 12th, 1806 to prevent being occupied being Napoleon and his allied German States. However, in November of 1813, The duchy approached Coalition forces, whilst their regiments defected or were disarmed by them in the Spanish Peninsula at a similar time. Nassau forces were famously present at the battle of Waterloo, preventing the French from taking the hamlet of Smohain and the chateau Papalotte. With the House of Nassau in power, the Duchy must secure it's territories to prevent annexation or forced alignment by the major powers.
