𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 Upplands Regemente The Upplands Regiment was officially raised in 1626 although it had existed since 1623. Upplands regemente was one of the original 20 Swedish infantry regiments mentioned in the Swedish constitution of 1634. The regiment's first commander was Nils ###### It was allotted in 1682 as one of the first regiments to be so. It has remained one of Sweden's core regiments in its army. Coming from the populous region of Upplands, it has also remained the largest regiment in Sweden to date. Upplands now faces a threat to east, the mighty Russian bear threatens Sweden and thus will be mobilized to Sweden's Defence.
