📯 Join the Bavarian Army! 📌 In 1792, as a member state of the Holy Roman Empire, Bavaria provided an armed force to fight against France but became neutral later that year. Later on, in 1805 Napoleon used Bavaria and her neighboring states as a buffer against Austria, in which they fell right into his trap, invading Bavaria and being destroyed by Napoleon's army. After which Bavarian was rewarded by Napoleon gaining its kingdom status along with several territories. In the campaigns that followed, Bavaria acted more like a weaker partner with France rather than an ally. However in 1809, Bavaria was the front-line state against Austria resulting in both defeats and victories for Bavaria and the French army, and finally, in 1812, Bavaria supplied Napoleon with VI Corps for the Russian campaign, which ended in disaster, resulting in Bavaria deserting Napoleon's army
