Description
𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 Upon the return of Napoleon from exile in Elba, the Congress of Vienna convened and decided to mobilize once more. Fearing Napoleon would strike Prussia first, Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher split the army into two, sending a reserve army back to defend the boarders of Prussia alongside the The North German Federal Army, an army of Prussia's closest allies. He then marched the Army of the Lower Rhine towards Belgium to rendezvous with the British Army. Napoleon met the two armies at the battlefields of Ligny, Wavre, and Waterloo, where he ultimately failed to secure victory. The Prussians played a vital role in Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo by overwhelming Napoleon's forces and collapsing the French right flank, leading to Napoleon's abdication and the eventual dissolvement of the French Empire. An accurate depiction of the Prussian army sent to fight in the Waterloo campaign.
