Description

Indie music is unique. It is a thriving culture of creativity, independence, and expression. It does not strive simply to be out of the ordinary -- it strives to be whatever it so desires. Indie music, in whatever form you may enjoy it, is an expression of who the musicians are, rather than what pop culture and the media demand from them. We are Independent Rockers, we are the musical representation of originality, and we are whatever we want to be. _____________________________________________________________ Below is a list of indie bands that I enjoy listening to. Please feel free to suggest others -- the more the merrier! Angus and Julia Stone, Arcade Fire, Bad Books, Bon Iver, Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst), Death Cab for Cutie, Fleet Foxes, Franz Ferdinand, Manchester Orchestra, Margot & The Nuclear So and So's, The Middle East, Modest Mouse, Neutral Milk Hotel, Okkervil River, The Paper Kites (<3), The Shins, The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club, Vampire Weekend, etc.
