The Swiss (officially The Pontifical Swiss Guard) is a small force under the direct control of the Holy See, that is responsible for the protection of the Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church. The Guard acts as the de facto military of the Vatican City State. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Founded 7/1/2021 evening, The Pontifical Swiss Guard will go to extreme measures for the protection of the Supreme Pontiff/Pope. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The current Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, or the Pope is "His Holiness, Pope Rein I". There is no incumbent Commander of the Pontifical Swiss Guard.
