Special Branch is the Portford Constabulary's elite section, responsible for force control, public order, diplomatic protection, and the most serious investigations. All members of Special Branch bear the prefix Detective, spite not being members of CID. All members of Special Branch are authorised firearms officers. Individuals are admitted to Special Branch on an invite-only basis and undergo extensive vetting and internal training.
