Seventh SaIzburg Infantry #11396832
Description
"The Archduke's Reformed Legion" German line infantry from the Salzburg territory. Following Archduke Charles' reforms after 1806, the German line infantryman became well trained and far more disciplined than the Frenchman, and the "German" regiments were the best trained and disciplined part of the Austrian infantry. Armed with muskets, bayonets, modern uniforms, and an iron sense of discipline, the regiment could take volley upon volley while remaining at attention. "German sense of duty caused them to rally after lost battles to fight again." Regiment cap: 160
