Regio Esercito c. 1916 "Fert!" 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒 The Royal Italian Army was the main ground force for the Italian Kingdom and would go on to conquer swaths of Africa. During the First World War, the army fought on the Alpine Front against the Habsburgs. High in the mountains, Italian soldiers would rush again and again at enemy positions and die in the thousands. The Italians would be stuck in a bloody stalemate for over 3 years.
