Description
I. The Founding of the Iron Mark House Eisenmark was born not in a court of silk and wine, but in fire and iron. Three centuries ago, when the northern marches were little more than fractured baronies and raided borderlands, a warlord known only as Edrik the Ironbound drove back the marauders of the Ashen Coast. Where other lords built walls, Edrik forged legions. Where others swore fealty, he demanded oath and blood. After the Battle of Black Hollow, Edrik planted his banner—a black dragon upon a field of argent—into the shattered earth and declared the land Eisenmark, the Iron March. The dragon did not symbolize destruction. It symbolized dominion. From that day forward, the words of the house were etched into blade and banner: Ferrum Regit Sanguinem Iron Rules the Blood.
