4e Regiments de Zouaves #114804257
Description
"VIVE LE ROI! VIVE LE REINE! VIVE LE DESMONIS!" The 4e Régiment du Zouaves (formerly the 4e Régiment du Étranger) was established in 1732 during the Sixty Years’ War against the Al-Dayyiz Sultanate. Originally organized as a volunteer militia tasked with defending Port of Al-Garrere, the regiment quickly gained recognition for its discipline and effectiveness in irregular warfare. Following the war, the 4e Zouaves were formally integrated into the Armée de l’Orient, where they continued to serve as a foreign native regiment composed of both colonial settlers and local auxiliaries. Their experience in desert warfare and fortified defense made them one of the most dependable units in the army’s overseas campaigns.
