Armata Română c. 1916 Romanian Army ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Background : The Kingdom of Romania entered The Great War during the year of 1916 on the side of the Entente. Launching the Hypothesis Z plan, they fought against the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the region of Transylvania while defending themselves from the Ottomans and Bulgarians in the south. They did briefly take the area of Transylvania from the Austrians however they were eventually pushed back to the northern regions of Romania and was forced to leave the war and concede to the Treaty of Bucharest (1918). Romania rejoined the war November 10th, 1918 and took the region of Transylvania from the Austro-Hungarian empire. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
