THE CALDWELL MILITIAMEN Formed in 1775, the Caldwell Militiamen are of North Carolinian stock, and are ready to respond whene'er called upon by the Government of the United States of America, or Foreigners if justified. The militia is divided into two companies; COMPANY A - "BLUE RIDGE BOYS" Coming of the Frontier & western counties, experienced men of the Appalachian mountains. COMPANY B - "MECKLENBURG MEN" Hailing from Charlotte or the general area of Mecklenburg County, more proper city folk. --Official Waterloo at Home Nation--
