Description

The Chinese People's Volunteer Army ------------------------------------------------------------ The Chinese People's Volunteer Army [PVA] was the armed forces deployed by the People's Republic of China during the Korean War. Although all units in the PVA were transferred from the People's Liberation Army under the orders of Chairman Mao, the PVA was separately constituted in order to prevent an official war with the United States. The PVA entered Korea in October of 1950.

Growth

3 measurements spanning 46 days. Dots are measurements; the straight line between them is drawn to join them, not to claim we know the path taken in between — snapshots are recorded only when a count changes, so gaps mean “no change observed”, never “interpolated”. The vertical axis spans 21–22 and does not start at zero.
