𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 The Imperial Guard division was Mexico's most elite and trust worthy troops. Composing of a regiment of grenadiers and a regiment of hussars they were modelled off Napoleon's guard corps. During battle the division was held in reserve and sent in to increase the morale of faltering men or to carry the day against a stubborn enemy.
