Description
The ADF is primarily responsible for matters of defence, trade protection and disaster relief, however it also covers things such as operating the national fire service and the lifeboat service, (all members of these organisations hold military rank, but are considered reserves). The Defence Force falls under the authority of the Ministry of Foreign affairs, which also oversees international relations.
