[USAA] United States of America #12029263
Description
𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄: Napoleonic Era (1790s — 1821) 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐒: War of 1812 Tripolitan War The Quasi-War 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: For the past several years, the British Royal Navy has been stealing American merchants from their ships and conscripting them forcefully into the Royal Navy to fill their undermanned ships in order to restrict our trade with Europe. On June 1st, 1812, President James Madison, with permission from the U.S. Senate, formally declared war on Great Britain for acts of impressment and unlawful interference with American trade. Over ten thousand men doing their patriotic duty enlisted in the U.S. Army to fill the ranks and help our country fight off the once-again encroaching Redcoats.
