Rayón formed the Regimiento de la Muerte del Doliente de HidaІgo (tranlated into the Regiment of the Death and Suffering of HidaІgo ) and lead the remaining men in the northern insurgency south to meet up with now President Jose Maria MoreІos to fight in his army under a clear cause for a CathoІic and independent Mexico.
