"Sacred Few" 𝚲 Spartiatai Sparta's elite warrior class epitomized martial prowess, discipline, and devotion to State above all else. Having foregone much of their childhood to begin their mandated training at the age of seven, they were forged by the fiery trials of their training in the Agoge, molding them into the most ideal citizen hoplites the Peloponnese had at its disposal. Renowned for their mastery of the phalanx, their unity and stalwart devotion to martial discipline crowned them the true masters of Greece. Their ethos was encapsulated by the dictum, "Come back with your shield, or on it," a creed of unyielding courage and ultimate sacrifice.
