𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 | กองทัพไทย 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Royal Thai Army is the oldest branch of the Royal Thai Armed Forces. It’s official job is to protect the country during wartime as well as infiltration and encirclement manouvers behind enemy lines. However, it is where most of Thailand's military dictators originated from, and has been constantly used more as a counter-insurgency force and a sort of political police rather than a defense force. During the Vietnam War, the Royal Thai Army took part mainly as a counter-insurgency force fighting against communism on the home front as communists began invading Thailand.
