Description
1st Warsaw Infantry Regiment, tactical unit of infantry of the People's Army of Poland. The division was formed in May 1943 in Sielce on the Oka River as the 1st Polish Infantry Regiment. They passed the baptism of fire under Lenino. In 1944 they fought near Puławy and for Praga.
