The Terran Republic (also known as TTR or simply The Republic), is the unified military alliance of Earth (later known as Terra) formed shortly after the end of the Terran campaign. They are allied themselves with the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars and fought against the CIS till 19 BBY or mid 1994 AD. When the Republic transitioned into the Galactic Empire and the Jedi Purge began, the Terran Alliance turned on the newly formed Empire and retreated to their home galaxy. Following the Clone Wars, it transitioned from a military alliance and rudimentary government into an interplanetary government, which grew with the addition of other member worlds over the coming years.
