Description
Hello everyone welcome to the Satsuma Clan. The Satsuma family was founded in the late 12th century by Shimazu Tadahisa (1179-1227), who adopted the Satsuma surname after being appointed governor of Southern Kyushu. The clan prospered through trade with Korea and the Ryukyu Islands.
