Specialist Firearms Command (SCO19) is the part of Met Operations responsible for most Firearms units of the Metropolitan Police Service, and for providing a firearms-response capability to assist the rest of the MPS which is not routinely armed. SCO19 Units: Specialist Firearms Officer (SFO) Counter Terror Specialist Firearms Officer (CTSFO) Armed Response Vehicles (ARV) How to join? Required to already be a member of the Metropolitan Police Service, attend a tryout for SCO19 and undergo the required training for your desired unit.
