Description
ππππππππ ππππππ θΏθ‘εΈ«ε£ πππ ππππππππ The Imperial Guard was dedicated to protecting the Emperor of Japan and the Imperial Family, palaces, and other imperial properties in Japan. During World War II, the Imperial Guard Divisions were sparingly utilized in combat due to their elite status and the desire to safeguard the Emperor from harm. However, they were deployed in critical battles, such as defending the Japanese homeland during the later stages of the war. The Imperial Guard Divisions were regarded as the most prestigious units within the Imperial Japanese Army. Soldiers who served in these divisions were carefully selected based on their physical fitness, discipline, and loyalty to the Emperor. ππππππππππππ: Imperial Guards: - 2nd Guards Cavalry Regiment - 5th Guards Infantry Regiment
