Description
Were a military class in the Ottoman Empire . There are different opinions that date its establishment to the Orhan Gazi or Murad I periods. With the expansion of the borders of the Ottoman Empire , the Janissary Corps, which started to be formed with the raising of ######### children at the ### of 8-18 ( devshirme ), and Kapıkulu Hearths affiliated to the Sultan .It made up the bulk of the infantry. The Janissary Corps, the most prestigious of the Kapıkulu corps, was located in the central arm of the sultan in wars, during the war the sultan stood behind and in the middle of them on a horse.
