The 8th (The King’s) Regiment of Foot - Founded in 1685, the 8th Regiment of Foot. known as The King’s Regiment earned distinction in the War of the Spanish Succession and the American Revolutionary War. Currently, it stands organized into three companies: the steadfast Line Infantry, the swift Light Infantry, and the elite Grenadier Company.
