Description

Pan Am Railways is a regional freight railroad company primarily operating in northern New England, primarily consisting of former railroads like the Boston and Maine Corporation and Maine Central Railroad Company; it was previously known as Guilford Transportation Industries and adopted the "Pan Am" name and branding from the defunct Pan American World Airways, using the iconic airline's logo and colors after acquiring the rights in 1998; today, Pan Am Railways is a subsidiary of CSX Corporation, managing rail lines stretching from Mattawamkeag, Maine to Rotterdam Junction, New York.

Growth

2 measurements spanning 31 days, net -1. Dots are measurements; the straight line between them is drawn to join them, not to claim we know the path taken in between — snapshots are recorded only when a count changes, so gaps mean “no change observed”, never “interpolated”. The vertical axis spans 39–40 and does not start at zero.
