Description
We'd been in a nomadic season. A no-man's land. Living in this empty space alone. Waiting, wandering, and worrying that this might very well be the end. Then, a faint glow appeared on the distant horizon, accompanied by a human silhouette. At first we were afraid, but our hearts whispered that the 'someone' in the distance was safe. In our exhaustion we tried to cry out or even whisper, but no sound came. You see, we'd been in this wilderness for quite some time and were weak. We had lost so much. Yet just as the last grain of sand fell through the hourglass, that distant glimmer grew into a bold, bright display of splintering light, throwing shadows in our direction. Hands over our eyes, peeking through the gaps in our fingers we saw the unknown figure growing closer, now in a dead sprint, racing toward us. Compassion, empathy and hope began to surge through us. And the question our soul had asked a thousands times was uttered "WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?" MERRY X-MAS!!
