Nidarosiske Infanteriregiment 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 The Nidarosiske Infantry Regiment was an infantry unit in the Norwegian Army, that was established for two periods at 71-year intervals. The regiment was probably established for the first time in 1658 and for the second time in 1789. The regiment was based in Kristiansand. By rescript of December 24, 1718, it was divided into First Nidarosiske Infantry Regiment and Second Nidarosiske Infantry Regiment. By a rescript of # ####### 1789, these two regiments were merged into a new Nidarosiske Infantry Regiment, which came to consist of two recruited and three national battalions with a total of 19 companies.
