Description
Founded: 11/28/2021 The Conch Republic was formed after a disagreement between the town of Key West and the Federal Government of the United States over a Border Checkpoint set in-between mainland Florida and the Florida Keys. The Checkpoint diminished the amount of people entering and leaving the keys, the Mayor of Key West took the situation to court, the case was cast aside. That day after he left the courthouse, in-front of the press, he jokingly proclaimed "the only option we have left is to secede." However, on April 23rd at exactly noon, the Mayor of Key West read aloud a declaration which claimed that the "Conch Republic" was now an independent nation. And as they say, the fun had just begun. Motto: "We Seceded where others Failed"
