Ampelmann #13110705
Description
Ampelmann, meaning "Traffic light men", is a real life company founded in 1996 by Markus Heckhausen. In 1995, he moved to the Eastern side of Berlin. While at Berlin, he saw workers replacing the traffic lights that were used when Germany was split between East and West (those traffic lights being the two Ampelmann logos), which he then asked if he could take them home. He used those and created the first product, an Ampelmannchen light.
