𝓟𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓲𝓹𝓪𝓽𝓸 𝓭𝓲 𝓟𝓲𝓸𝓶𝓫𝓲𝓷𝓸 Founded December 11, 2021 Status: In Development 𝓗𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓬𝓪𝓵 𝓢𝓾𝓶𝓶𝓪𝓻𝔂 Beset by the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas, the Principality of Piombino is a minor princedom situated amongst the Tuscan Archipelago and along the Italian Peninsula. Piombino is the remnant of a prior era, having been founded by the Appiani dynasty in the Late Middle Ages (1389). In the following centuries, Piombino survived through the rule of the Habsburgs, until it was gifted to Niccolò Ludovisi for fighting valiantly against the Turk in 1634. This gift was later shared with the Boncompagni by marital rite in 1733, forming the Boncompagni-Ludovisi dynasty that would rule over Piombino until their deposition in 1805 in the early stages of what would become the Napoleonic Wars.
