Description
Established XVI/XII/MMXXI. The Holy Roman Empire was a powerful, semi-decentralized, collection of territories unified under the rule of an Emperor. The Empire was established after King Otto I of Germany had defended the Papal States from the Lombards, convincing Pope John XII to crown Otto as the Emperor of the Romans. The Empire would go on to survive for almost an entire millennium, from CMLXII A.D. to MDCCCVI A.D. earning itself the title of one of the greatest and longest-lasting Empires in history.
